University-level Academic Diploma
The Accademia Internazionale di Teatro in Rome, nationally and internationally recognized, trains actors through an accredited university-level acting course, offering solid preparation in line with AFAM-MUR standards.
With Ministerial Decree No. 251/2016, the Ministry of University and Research authorized the International Academy of Theatre to issue the First-Level Academic Diploma in Acting (DADPL02), a qualification equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree (Class L-3) pursuant to Law 228/2012, for the purposes of public competitions.
The ministerial evaluation examined the faculty curricula, the specific features of the educational offering, the artistic and professional collaborations on both national and international levels, as well as the compliance of the premises with current regulations.
Excerpt from the minutes of the ANVUR Governing Board dated July 2, 2014:
"The buildings owned by the Municipality of Rome located in Salita San Gregorio are situated in a very evocative green area with an educational vocation. The Via Latina locations, the facilities and the instrumental equipment are fully compliant with the objectives. In particular, the spacious and bright rooms and technologically advanced facilities offer students the opportunity to carry out both practical and theoretical exercises.”
"The faculty, leading figures in the field of live performance, with extensive and proven experience also internationally, are qualified to teach the courses offered and ensure adequate preparation for university-level education. Furthermore, numerous initiatives promote students’ theatrical activity through workshops, recitals, and performances open to the public and to the participation of students from Italian and foreign academies."
