Privacy Policy pursuant to Art. 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR)

In compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of personal data (hereinafter "GDPR"), the Accademia Internazionale di Teatro, with registered office in Rome, informs users about the processing of their personal data, specifying what data is collected, for what purposes, and what rights are recognised to data subjects.

Data Controller

The Data Controller is the Accademia Internazionale di Teatro, with registered office in Rome, in the person of the Legal Representative pro tempore.

Categories of Data Processed

The Controller processes identifying personal data (such as name, surname, address, telephone numbers, e-mail, tax identification number, banking and payment details), as well as any special categories of data (e.g. health data), to the extent strictly necessary for the institutional activities of the Academy, in particular for students, lecturers, collaborators and staff.

Purposes of Processing

Personal data provided is processed for the following purposes:

• to communicate information about educational activities, rehearsals, exercises and institutional events;
• to fulfil pre-contractual, contractual and fiscal obligations;
• to comply with obligations arising from national or EU legislation, regulations or requests of competent authorities (e.g. obligations relating to safety, employment, healthcare, anti-money laundering).

Methods of Processing

The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with Art. 4 of the GDPR, through operations such as: collection, recording, organisation, storage, consultation, processing, modification, selection, extraction, comparison, use, interconnection, blocking, communication, erasure and destruction.

Processing may take place both in paper and digital form, using IT and telematic tools, in compliance with the security measures required by applicable legislation.

The data retention period is limited to the time necessary to achieve the stated purposes.

Rights of the Data Subject

Pursuant to Articles 15 et seq. of the GDPR, the data subject has the right to:

• obtain confirmation of whether or not personal data concerning them exists and to access it in an intelligible form;
• request rectification, updating, integration or erasure of the data processed;
• object to processing on legitimate grounds or request its restriction;
• receive their personal data in a structured, machine-readable format (right to data portability);
• lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
