Commedia dell'Arte
He holds a degree in Communication Sciences, with a specialization in mass communications.
Since
1998, he has studied commedia dell'arte and biomechanics with Francesco Gigliotti (cantiere di arte
dinamo-plastica).
In 2005, he specialized in commedia dell'arte and mask technique with
Michele Monetta at the Silvio D'Amico Academy of Dramatic Art; he attended a seminar on “The Art of
Improvisation” led by Christian Di Domenico (assistant to Jurij Alschitz) and the third phase as an assistant
director at the Silvio D’Amico Academy of Dramatic Art.
In 2006, he attended
the advanced acting and directing course at the National Academy of Dramatic Art Silvio D'Amico, "Teatro Sonoro," at
Radio Rai, directed by Francesco Anzalone. In 2007, he attended an acting course directed by
Michele Placido.
In 2011, he attended the advanced commedia dell'arte course at Teatro di Roma
with Carlo Boso.
In 2013, he obtained a Master's degree in coaching and became a member of the
International Coach Federation (ICF), collaborating with the consulting and training companies "Action
Training Network" and "Open Human Solutions".
In 2019, he participated in the commedia dell'arte workshop directed by Ferruccio Soleri and Carlo
Boso on the play "Arlecchino servitore di due padroni" by Goldoni, directed by Strehler, and in
2021, in the leather mask-making workshop led by Stefano Perocco di Meduna.
He began his
career in 1996 with the Compagnia Opera Prima in Latina, directed by Francesco
Marino and Francesco Gigliotti. Subsequently, he performed in prestigious theatres (Eliseo, India, Sistina, etc.),
directed by avant-garde Roman directors such as Mario Prosperi ("La donna di Samo," a work with a
Greek mask for the national institute of ancient drama - 2003/2004) and Giuliano Vasilicò
(monologue "Il regista in scena" from 2012 to 2014), by experienced directors such as Carlo
Alighiero ("La cipria del colonnello" - 2003), and prominent figures such as Dacia
Maraini ("Passi affrettati" - 2006) and Michele Placido ("Le tre sorelle" - 2007). He has acted
alongside well-known national actors such as Roberto Ciufoli, Edoardo Siravo, and Lando Buzzanca. From 2011
to 2013, he participated in the Roman Carnival (productions by Teatro di Roma and Teatro dell’Opera).
In 2017, he played Arlecchino in the play "Eppur si muove" (directed by G. Palla) at Teatro Eliseo
in Rome. From 2021 to 2024, he participated in the Medieval and Renaissance Theatre Festival of
Anagni with the touring show "In piazza la Commedia dell’Arte impazza," which he authored. In 2023-2024, he toured
with the play "C’erano una volta le fiabe," written and directed by Leonardo Petrillo, based on Italo Calvino, in
Italy and London at the Italian Cultural Institute.
He has been the president since 2007 of the cultural association Teatro della
Giostra, with which he has organized shows, concerts, and cultural activities privately and on behalf of
public administrations (since 2008, he has managed the Pier Paolo Pasolini literary park in Ostia; since 2009, he
has managed the project "Sogno di una Notte di Note: concerts and shows on Mozart and Shakespeare" at the Teatro di
San Vito Romano; in 2011, he won the regional ideas competition with the project "Fair play-Sporteatrando nel
rispetto delle regole"; he collaborated in organizing "Officine Culturali" in Latina). He opened and manages the
cultural center “La lanterna immaginaria”.
He has written and directed several shows,
including "Mostro" in 2009, selected for the Attilio Corsini award at Teatro Vittoria, where he
directed in 2010 the Shakespearean play "Much Ado About Nothing - Shakespeare in Rock," with live
musicians.
He has taught Commedia dell'arte to all age groups, from children to the elderly, for professionals and non-professionals, in schools and theatres.
Among his recent teaching activities is a theatre workshop directed with Fosca Banchelli at the Regina Coeli prison in Rome (2023) and the workshop at the Liceo Classico Luciano Manara, aimed at the performance of Sophocles' Antigone, which was staged at Teatro India.
In June 2024, he won the Premio Arvalia with the La Lanterna Immaginaria theatre school, awarded by the authorities of Rome's XI Municipality, along with Sergio Rubini, Antonio Giuliani, and other personalities, for his theatrical and cultural activities.
He has been a teacher of Commedia dell’Arte in private courses, workshops, and, since 2014, at the International Academy of Theatre.
