Interpretation - Use of voice and diction
He began his approach to theatre at the age of eight, attending the Vertigo School of
Diction and Acting in Livorno, directed by Marco and Enzina Conte, where he graduated in
2013. He took part in various performances organized by the Vertigo Company, including “Dai parenti mi guardi
Iddio,” an adaptation of the film “Parenti Serpenti” by M. Monicelli, directed by S. Stagno at the Teatro Goldoni in
Livorno, “A Midsummer Night's Dream” by W. Shakespeare, directed by R. Luparini, and explored various genres, from
vaudeville to modern drama with “Naja” by A. Longoni, directed by E. Ripoli. During the same years, he was an active
member of the cultural association Intrecciamenti, performing at various festivals and themed events. After
completing his classical studies, he trained at the International Academy of Theatre, where he
graduated with honors in 2018 with professional titles in Acting and
Directing.
In 2016 and 2017, he participated in artistic
residencies led by A. Colucci for the “La Boulé” festival, performing at the Archaeological
Park of Paestum in the tragedies “The Suppliants” and “The Persians” by Aeschylus.
In
2017, he attended the stage of scenic and choreographic movement “Cantieri del
gesto,” led by Virgilio Sieni.
During his training, he attended in 2018 the Linklater
method workshop conducted by A. Fabrizi.
Since 2018, he has worked as an actor
for the Controtempo Theatre company, performing in, among others, “Cyrano De
Bergerac” by E. Rostand, “Othello” by W. Shakespeare, “The Picture of Dorian
Gray” by O. Wilde, at the Royal Palace of Caserta, Lauro Castle, the historic village of Pinerolo, and
other historic locations in Italy.
In 2018, he was the author and director of
“Guantanamo – System Error,” together with S. Remorini and M. Viggiano, produced by the National Association of
Italy-Cuba Friendship and performed, among others, at the Teatro Vittoria in Rome, as a finalist
for the Attilio Corsini 2019 award. In the same year, he staged “Bartleboom,” freely adapted from
“Ocean Sea” by A. Baricco, with V. Izzo and D. Lo Russo, for which he handled adaptation and direction at the Teatro
Trifiletti in Milazzo. Since that year, he has collaborated with the International Academy of Theatre, assisting
teachers in delivering lessons and directing the Academy's performances.
Since 2020, he has
been a teacher of diction and voice use in the acting and voice courses at the International Academy of
Theatre.
Since 2021, together with Maria Sara Amenta, he has also been a teacher of
acting and performance for the same courses, managing the entire teaching and theatrical proposals.
Among these, he has been responsible for the adaptation and direction of various productions,
including "The Trojan Women" by Euripides, "Astaroth" by S. Benni, "Blood Wedding" and "The House of Bernarda Alba"
by F. G. Lorca.
Since 2021, he has been one of the protagonists of “The Persians,” directed by
A. Colucci, for the Illoco Teatro company.
In 2022, he graduated from
the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University La Sapienza of Rome, with a thesis on the
relationship between theatre and visual arts in the context of Russian Avant-garde.
In 2023,
he managed the adaptation and direction of "It’s Just Hamlet", together with M. S. Amenta, for the
Spring Festival of the International Academy.
He is the author and director
of "1 Persona," performed at the Teatro Vascello and selected for the Rome Fringe Festival
2023, as well as the special audience award at the InCorti Festival of the Centro
Culturale Artemia, Rome.
In 2023, he directed, together with M. S. Amenta, the play "The
Minotaur" within the Festival of Mediterranean Theatres - Formia.
Starting in
2024, he directs the courses at the Permanente Teatro dei Fuochi workshop,
included in the educational activities of the Compagnia Opificio-03.
In 2024,
for the Opificio-03 company, he wrote and directed with M. S. Amenta "Io ero una troiana," a contemporary
reinterpretation of Euripides' "The Trojan Women," performed in the context of the Festival I racconti di
Dioniso and Anzio nel Mito.
Also in 2024, with M. S. Amenta, he co-wrote and directed "Lieber
Hamlet", inspired by W. Shakespeare's "Hamlet" and H. Muller's "Hamletmachine," performed at the
Mirabilia Festival, an international performing arts festival (Cuneo).
He is also the editor
of the Manual of the International Academy of Theatre, published by Cartman Editore,
2024.
